#it's a difficult thing

ooooh the inverse mer au sounds interesting, imagine human anakin wanting to join mer obi-wan in the sea and trying to learn how to hold his breath as long as he can to spend more time with him

on the other hand he also likes exploring on land and obi-wan is very protective of him but he can only go so far when on land since he has no legs

when anakin comes back to the beach after a day of exploring the little island obi-wan brought him to and he's crying and has a big scrape on his leg obi-wan would get SO worried 😔 but he also knows that, like merbabys need to swim, anakin needs to run and climb for his development 🫂

sometimes i hate that i believe in this stupid idea of soulmates. if they exist then where was mine when i needed them. am i supposed to feel this alone before they arrive? so is my world really going to burst into color or are fireworks going to explode in the sky or are violins going to play in background all the time when i finally meet them? or am i hanging onto some imaginary string i've been fed by too many stories of love (i say, as i listen to ed sheeran... sigh)

did you know that someone will be writing a stylan fic? how do you feel about that?

I did not know, and I would say that I need more information until I could make a call on how I feel about it?  Is it a fic within the universe that @megalong and myself created, or just a fic where they’re a duo?  There’s a difference there.  

If we’re being entirely honest, if it is the latter, even having them be a duo CALLED Stylan is a little...I’m not sure it sits well with me, personally.  Obviously I/we are very well aware that Stylan as a shorthand for those two idiots being a musical duo has reached beyond just “fic” 1D fandom, but there’s a little bit of a difference there with regard to that being their name in another fic?  Or even being used as a shorthand FOR a fic where that’s the premise.  If it’s entirely divorced from our Stylan universe, then I don’t see why you would want to still use our ridiculous portmanteau since it is rooted in an entirely different fic universe.  

**please keep in mind that I am saying all of this without any real particulars on this situation, but in the absence of that these are my preliminary HOT TAKES.

The first one took like 2 months 😉 And no I never told her because well I choose our friendship over my feelings because I know she’s as straight as they come 😂 so I learned to let go of my feelings and yes now we’re still very close friends! And if I told her I knew she wouldn’t have ended our friendship but I knew it would be different. I just made a certain choice of what mattered most to me…. And there is always a possibility but if it’s a true friend they won’t abandon you because of feelings
