"I... didn't realize you missed me that much." Akira rubbed the back of his neck, smiling sheepishly. After his probation ended, he'd gone back to his hometown in Osaka. His parents, of course, still resented him and he made his own choice to return to Tokyo sooner and live there permanently . He was allowed to make his own choices-- be free without anyone holding him down and it was something he'd never forget.

Letting his bag down on the booth, he turned to Haru with a small chuckle. "You've grown, Haru. How've you been? Sojiro told me you decided to work here. Practicing for your dream coffee shop, are you?" He couldn't help but tease her with that glint in his eyes.

A shiny, locked chest was so tempting to open for any thief or not. Chihiro seemed to be intrigued by it, so Joker offered to open it. Taking out the aforementioned lockpick from his pocket, a little fiddling with it was all it took to open it.

The contents were a few vials for quick healing and a new dagger for himself. "Nothing too special." He sighed, swinging it around in the air, turning his attention to the other and his flowing blue hair.

"So, about your outfit... you said that a Protofiend was helping you? Care to tell me more about him?" Color him curious as he turned around and walked through the subway.

He didn't think he would show up to this party. He never was one for crowds or surprises, so this was definitely a shock for Akira. Akechi was standing in the corner while everyone else was chatting away with each other about the upcoming holidays and what their plans would be. He smiled as he watched them, and made sure that neither Futaba nor Ryuji didn't dip their fingers in the cake they had baked.

Yet his focus was on Akechi and how he was doing. Quietly walking over to his spot, one small glance from him showed him that there was a mistletoe above their heads near the Sayuri's painting. "Odd place to put it there..." He commented.

Then there was silence, although he could feel his heart beating faster than usual. He met his eyes. "Um, so... this is awkward. But do you--" He clammed up. "No, probably not. But just... one kiss wouldn't hurt, right?"

Well, that's a surprise. He had no idea Saihara was capable of cooking, but if he lived alone or with a relative, it made sense. Akira only learned how to cook with the Boss's persistence, saying that it's necessary to learn if he worked here. A few months had passed and he had learned so much, now making fresh and hot curry for today's customers.

He turned his head to look at his classmate and cracked a smile. "I've got it covered, don't worry. But if you really want to, I'd appreciate it if you could chop up the carrots for me while I work on the chicken." A little help never hurt while Boss was out running errands.

"It's only a small burn from the pot... I'm sure it'll heal on its own. It doesn't sting much." He assured him with a smile, feeling his cheeks warm up the longer Shuichi did this, unsure why. "Heh, I'll be fine, Saihara-- or, should I call you by your first name? Either way, I appreciate it, really. I hope you're not hurt either." It's rare to find such a worrywart outside of the Phantom Thieves.

Small touches like what she was doing to him right now was all he wanted to get away from the stress of his daily life. Hell, he could be a puddle in her hands right now and her hand trailed from his shoulder to his lower back, bare as it was, a jolt was sent up his spine. Back arched, he shivered and tried to hold back whatever noise he wanted to make.

"S-Sam... if you're trying to tell me something, you're definitely getting there... close to me wanting you to take over and do whatever you want." He rubbed at the side of his neck. The hair on his arm definitely stood on end. He threw her a small glance. Surely she was confused by his behavior.

"That-- I don't know why, but it definitely felt good... I want more of it. Please?"

He winced, visibly flinching when he took his arm to examine it. Hearing that it might be sprained made him fear the worst if he hadn't told him that, he would've made it much worse. But the thief didn't falter. "Shit... it's fine, I can use my other arm. But I guess I won't be able to be on the front lines this time since I know you'll be against it. I'm not asking you to be the leader, of course. Just to take initiative in battle when it's necessary."

The quaint little bar was a nice breath of fresh air compared to every other bar in Shinjuku and Akihabara, even though Lala's was the best one in his eyes. It's nice to be more knowledgable, and the man's eyes couldn't stop looking around like his old teen days where he explored a new place or city. He followed Makoto closely and sat down across from her, thanking the waitress soon afterwards.

The appetizers looked good too. "So, you're a regular here. Interesting." He let out a small chuckle.

"Mhm, been a few years since we last saw each other. Of course, I got super busy myself with law school, and I even got a part-time job at the Police Department while I studied. But as for me... honestly, I wanted to be a criminal profiler at first, but then, my boss noticed how good I was at... being mischievous, so he let me in to try espionage too." He smirked, running a hand through his hair. "Needless to say, I got my dream job. Funny how things turned out." He took a bite of his appetizer and nodded contently.
