His parents, of course, still resented him and he made his own choice to return to Tokyo sooner and live there permanently . He was allowed to make his own choices-- be free without anyone holding him down and it was something he'd never forget.
Letting his bag down on the booth, he turned to Haru with a small chuckle. "You've grown, Haru. How've you been? Sojiro told me you decided to work here. Practicing for your dream coffee shop, are you?" He couldn't help but tease her with that glint in his eyes.
