Happy STS!
“Heya, happy STS! For a story of your choice, what's your protagonist's worst nightmare? Does it come into play in the story?”
Thank you @words-after-midnight for the awesome ask! <3
For Goddess Dead, Eliott’s greatest fear is being alone, or—more specifically—being alone due to the death or grievious injury of loved ones. This fear stems from when they lost their mother due to an illness which magick could not save her from, and it’s only followed them as they’ve gotten older. They understand that death happens, that war is happens—injury, disease, accidents, etc. Everyone they’ve ever loved will one day die (excluding Rowen, maybe), but they are terrified of sudden loss—of being powerless to save people, and this fear comes into play and is made real many times throughout the narrative.
