Gato kept chewing his lower lip, obviously at war with himself. “Well, at least the container is nothing special... It’s not lined or extremely secured, so they likely have no immediate effects.” He rolled the crystal in his palm. He could feel the power vibrating inside and the shifting colors drew his attention even more than normally.

“Maybe this is what the Druids eat,” he thought loudly. “It does look like crystallized quintessence. Aand, I suppose since there’s so much of them... Probably they won’t miss two small shards.” He picked up two slivers and placed one in Cal’s hand, taking the larger one.

“Here, a welcome gift. Put it somewhere safe. Let’s clean up and take the boxes where they belong to, then we’ll hit the mass or the kitchens and we won’t tell anyone what happened.” He flashed a mischievous smile at Cal. “It’s going to be our little secret.”
