Last year, we couldn't watch the Superbowl in our own living room because our chinchilla was running on her wheel like a maniac because she was annoyed that we were up so late. So this year, we let her have the house, and we got a hotel room in Edinburgh.

The added bonus is that the hotel has a pool and the only time I don't feel like total shit is when I'm in water because the water supports all my joints and compresses my legs, completely eliminating POTS symptoms. I walked back and forth in the pool for over an hour.

I always swim alone because even though I am clearly a mermaid, my husband is afraid of water. Write whatever tragic fairytale you want with that.
