I was rewatching episode 1 today and Angela being smarmy while pretending she's such a good person to the teacher reminded me so much of the antis behavior on trying to police people on hellcheer/eddissy ages + the ship name + grace shipping it

The parallels are amazing.

Lorelai has a 21 year old daughter. I think she understands people have pasts and she’s pretty good with nerdy teenagers.

Although I do appreciate that it seems to knock some sense into him about the fact that it’s ok that lorelai occasionally talks to the father of her child.

i think that even if u disagree with something u can at least acknowledge why a decision or situation upsets somebody, particularly if that somebody is from a marginalised group.

and if ur not part of that group then maybe it isn't ur place to decide whether their feelings are an overreaction or not. okay?

Funfact, in a gaming community, I was slandered as a racist with accusations of using my heritage as an "excuse" for saying the game having white humans and elves arriving to a new continent and killing jamaican accented, dreadlocked trolls wearing grass skirts and worshipping voodoo was racist.

Let me know if you wanna hear more, but there's definitely tons of entitled racists in these communities whom insist that marginalized cultures and people of color, must be the villains for the white characters, and fans of color must accept that or else they're racist.

yeah so i'm just going to be automatically unfollowing anyone who reblogs tonnes of the white queer couples in orange is the new black without any reflection whatsoever on what was done to poussey. i'm so goddamn sick of the racism is femslash queer fandom. (and i know that's such a privileged thing- to be sick of it rather than actively hurt and attacked by it). but fellow white queer women, have some fucking solidarity, my god. have some compassion. we should all be absolutely devastated by this, and if you're not that's seriously troubling.

You know something that makes this situation in Ferguson even worse? It's how many times this has happened before. Who can even say how many times an atrocity like this has gone unnoticed? If it wasn't for social media, no one would have any idea what's happening. And even now people STILL don't know.
