These cruel, nearly unstoppable specters are not the souls of the departed shackled to their own rotting bodies by unfinished business or some unresolved grudge, but corpses inhabited by spirits of pure spite and depthless sadism called into reality by a profane ritual. Similar to a revenant in many ways, a ginosaji is inextricably bound to a single individual whom it torments and will eventually slay... with the key difference between the two being the word "eventually." A revenant wishes to slay its own killer as swiftly as possible so it may finally rest, but a ginosaji is not so easily satisfied, seeking to torment and break its target for as long as it possibly can, often patiently driving them to agonized madness over the course of months or even years before it makes any move to kill them. Such is a ginosaji's cruelty that it will rescue its victims from certain death at the hands of others (or their own hand) in order to continue its maddening craft.
The primary means of causing pain and terror is often cause for both insult and humiliation, as each ginosaji is born favoring some small, seemingly harmless household implement, such as a sewing needle, a pencil, or (most commonly) a spoon, with which it relentlessly strikes its target at all hours of the day, hard enough to cause pain but avoiding causing too much damage. Its assault only pauses to allow the target to rest and heal enough that the next round of beatings will cause even more distress, if not physically then certainly psychologically. The ginosaji is invisible to all but its target and will typically stop attacking them once they're around other people, making the victim's steady proliferation of bruises and small wounds seem more like foul luck or even self-harm, just as their rantings of some unseen phantom assaulting them with silverware make them appear increasingly insane as their actual sanity unwinds thread by thread.
There is no solace from a ginosaji's wrath, as many victims find in their struggles to defend themselves. The persistent hatred within the horrors knits their forms together time and time again, they can appear from nearly anywhere, and can reform even after complete destruction as their foul spirit flees into a new corpse to reshape it into a usable body. Stealing their weapons does nothing as they can remake them easily from their own bottomless well of energy if they don't simply acquire new ones from their surroundings. Many have tried numerous techniques with varying levels of desperation and creativity to combat their tormentors, but thus far none of them have succeeded for more than a few moments as the horror adapts to their tactics with counters of its own. Because of this, the ritual to sic a ginosaji on a target will remain in the realm of DM fiat.
While some ginosaji created by especially hateful souls gain even more unusual powers, the example below represents the most common of its kind, favoring the humiliation and absurdity of striking its victims with a spoon.

Combat: Ginosaji do not enter combat in the traditional sense, as they're always entirely focused on their Target of Torment, battering them with its weapon every single round whenever possible and stopping only when they're on the verge of death so it may draw out their suffering. It generally attacks only once a round even if it can make a full attack, and does little else besides use its movement and spells to remain as close to its target as possible. If the ginosaji is attacked by its target or by another creature, it becomes far more calculated, using its unarmed strikes and improvised weapons to deadly effect while utilizing Martial Flexibility to directly counter an opponent's fighting style and exploit their weaknesses. Often, it uses Flexibility to grant it access to dirty tricks and other combat maneuvers to disarm, down, and otherwise harass and disable foes before resuming its protracted beating of its target.
(Author's note: reminder that because it exclusively uses improvised weapons, Catch Off-Guard pretty much always applies to the ginosaji's attacks)
Morale: Ginosaji never retreat and always fight to the death. However, if its target is in danger of dying, it will attempt to rescue them with whatever tactics it can manage, even throwing itself in front of a threat to act as a decoy if need be. Ginosaji never seek to finish off non-target creatures it renders unconscious, but will make no move to save their lives.

Special Abilities
------
Hateful Rejuvenation (Ex): A ginosaji's true form an intangible spirit, its physical body easily restored and replaced. It gains the regeneration ability with a value equal to half its HD despite having no Con score. As long as its regeneration is active, a ginosaji is staggered instead of destroyed while at 0 hit points, and ignores all damage that would reduce it below 0 hit points. If the ginosaji is ever destroyed or rendered invalid (such as through ability score damage or petrification) but its Target of Torment still exists (see below), the ginosaji abandons its ruined vessel and seeks out a humanoid corpse to reshape into a new vessel, a process that typically takes 1d6 days.
Malefic Weapons (Su): A ginosaji may deal nonlethal damage with any weapon without penalty. The ginosaji's attacks ignore any damage reduction possessed by its Target of Torment (see below). Additionally, as a full-round action, the ginosaji may magically conjure its chosen weapon (in this case, a spoon), and may create it out of any common material it desires, such as stone, wood, iron, glass, or copper. Weapons created in this way dissolve into nothingness 1 minute after they leave the ginosaji's possession, and it can maintain up to 10 of them at a time as to easily rearm itself.
Martial Flexibility (Ex): A ginosaji may appear to be a shambling, mindless undead, but it possesses incredible adaptability and cunning. It has the Martial Flexibility ability of a Brawler with levels equal to its Hit Dice and is treated as a Fighter with levels equal to its Hit Dice for the purposes of feat prerequisites. As this one has 10 Hit Dice, this means it may gain one feat as a free action, two as swift action, or three as a move action, and may use this ability to gain up to 8 feats a day.
Target of Torment (Su): Every ginosaji is created with the express purpose of torturing and eventually killing a specific individual. The ginosaji knows the distance and direction of its target at all times, as well as the shortest and safest route directly to them. This effect can be blocked by any effect which blocks scrying, forcing the ginosaji to rely on mundane tracking methods. The ginosaji is invisible (as Greater Invisibility) to all creatures except its target. If this invisibility is ever removed, it returns after 1 minute.
