Eve and Michael? Prince and peasant? Forbidden? OwO

So, I'm not against this by any means, but I do want to say: My Eve is forever in love with her Adam. There is no world where this isn't true.

I'd be more than happy to do this in a universe where Adam is permanently out of the picture, but I do like to add in the caveat that Eve will always have to overcome her heartbreak.

The trenchcoat post (from the perspective of a costume history enthusiast)

PSA to younger Supernatural fans: the trenchcoat isn't ill-fitting, it's supposed to fit loose like that because it's an overcoat. It needs to be big to go over jackets or even another coat, to protect from wind and rain. Historically, it progressively lost its function as it became just a coat, as seen in Castiel's lite trenchcoat in season 10-12, and then his new one in s13-15 which almost looks like the original, but fits much more like a coat than an overcoat so it would fit the aesthetic on the late 2010s (stiffer fabric, closer fit in the shoulders and sleeves)

Compare Cas' of coat with Mulder and Scully's trenchcoat in the X-Files, or Humprey Bogart's trenchcoat in Casablanca, for example, and his direct inspiration, John Constantine's trenchcoat. They're all very similar to Cas' first coat, big and drapey. You can see in the later iteration of Constantine's coat in the 2014 series that it became tight around the arms and shoulders to follow trends. Here you can find a history of the trenchcoat at large, which evolved from the Victorian raincoat and was then issued, you guessed it, to soldier's fighting in the trenches. Similarly to the spread in popularity of the leather jacket after 20th century wars, it was then made available to the public, but it retained the air of uniform and respectability. Interestingly, not only Cas is a soldier wearing (by trickle down economics of media influences) a piece of clothing first reserved for war, but his lite trenchcoat in s10-12 is a Burberry, or at least Burberry inspired (idk if that was confirmed by production sources but the reverse of the lapel with the typical check pattern is visible in at least one scene): the company is credited to have invented their version of it in 1879, and it's long been the iconic trenchcoat.
