"Because I don't like this character, they can only be popular because of their looks, everyone but me is so shallow, they have clearly nothing else to offer but a pretty face" is an opinion to hold that is judgemental, presumptuous and highly insulting and needs to end.

It's the same thing people throw at David Tennant fans time and again, just to validate themselves in their dislike for the tenth Doctor and it makes me want to vomit everytime. Just accept preferences are different and move on, stop insulting actors, favorite characters and fans in one go by making generalised assumptions about people.
