It's funny, because Unity did essentially tell Rick that she's been reaching out to him and made it look like it was his fault that he didn't return her calls. At first this would seem like something that he would do, to not respond to someone's calls in a really petty way (or maybe it's justified in Unity's case because she obviously deeply hurt him the first time that she left him), but the context of the voice calls makes it sound like that you didn't call him until years after, and only when it was convenient for her. As in, when she was worried about something, not because she was genuinely worried about Rick. Which would make sense, and would line up with the fact that she left him so easily the first time.
Bottom line, Rick's bitterness and complete apathy towards Unity is completely justified and I'm proud of him. Especially when he told it right to her face about why he wasn't being nice to her, much less playing into her back and forth "I care about you" games.
