Today I had 3 invasive medial procedures and an MRI and I just squeezed my eyes really tightly shut and thought of how Leia was so brave when she was tortured by the IT-O interrogator droid that she didn’t give up any information even through her pain. And then during the MRI I pretended that all the various loud MRI machine noises were the sirens that mean an Imperial ship is under attack by Rebel forces, or the hum of Rey using her lightsaber, or a blaster wielded by the resistance. So thank you Star Wars for helping me get through 2 hours of something really difficult. And I’m not gonna lie, I’m not religious at all, but I did pray to Carrie Fisher and imagined her telling me to be brave, which helped a great deal too.

Another drawing for the new issue of Wastes of Space. Not as ominous looking as I remember it being the first time I saw Star Wars (at age six). That needle tho lol.
