"I’m in love with you."
Pepper’s jaw went unhinged, in utter shock. Rhodey loved her? For how long? Years ago, back when she first became PA, she had feelings for Rhodey. Intelligent and witty, but a genuine character, the colonel had swiped her off her feet. She never thought he would feel the same. It was a blow of sheer shock that moved through her veins.
"Rhodey?"
How could she respond to that? This was something Tony would pull, springing up that! She didn’t have time to think of anything. The woman who battled primarily with her words was left in a state of being stricken with speechlessness.
"How long have you felt that way, James?"
