[ @iteradastra || Hugh & Paul ]
Wandering into sickbay was nothing new by Paul’s standards, ever since he’d joined Starfleet the number of injuries he’d gotten that required medical attention beyond his own first aid had skyrocketed. This time was no different, it seemed. One of his hands wrapped up tightly in his uniform jacket, slightly soaked through with blood, wasn’t anything unusual he supposed, but still something he was not interested in having to deal with. Especially because Culber was there, he’d gotten back to work and Paul was still struck with a mix of emotions surrounding his (ex?-) partner’s return.
Shaking his head, Paul slipped into sickbay and caught the attention of one of the nurses, a weak smile on his face as he made eye contact only for it to disappear as he sat down. His eyes scanned the familiar room, just watching to make sure Culber wasn’t here to tell him he was being an idiot, Paul didn’t need that today.
Then, then the other figure caught his eye. The cybernetic augment they’d picked up. Paul watched him with curiosity, then looked away. It was rude to stare, but he was curious, engineering of augmentations on human bodies had caught his attention more since he had his own implants added for ease of the spore drive, after all.
