One day in my junior year of high school I saw this girl wearing a band tee shirt (Angels And Airwaves) it happened to be my favorite band. Anyway she ended up adding me on myspace and and I randomly messaged her on AIM about the band and we talked about them for hours and became best friends. After that she somehow became the second love of my life. It eventually ended but we remained friends for many years. We would even text each other every year for I think 7 years on the day we started talking because we remembered the date (Nov 9) Except somehow we stopped communicating completely. We went over an entire year of not talking, mostly because our favorite band wasn't touring or coming out with new music or anything really. That band meant so much to everything that we were/are so when it stopped so did we. Today they came out with a new album. Today she messaged me and asked about my thoughts. I got to have an awesome conversation about a band that no one will understand like I do except for her and that's amazing. It's awesome how music can keep such a strong connection between people that it can break silence. So fucking rad.
