the kickstart august
August is approaching quite a bit fast. And im expecting a very busy lifestyle and activities this coming month because of the hectic schedule getting tied up together. But I can’t believe myself that I will be working so early being a part-time IT Instructor in one of the famous University here in Manila next week. I just can’t say yet to where it would be until my ID will release soon that I could consider myself as official. Anyway, im just quite overwhelmed that I got hired despite the lacking requirements I have (no master’s degree, no enough experience, etcetc). Actually, the University is very strict when it comes to their job requirements and I’m not even part of their alumni for them to allow me to work in their University. And its their first time to accept an instructor who came from other school but hasn't able to meet their standards.So I was really really overwhelmed and lucky to be hired. Was it because I came from a prestigious school or was it because I made a hit impressing the Director and two other faculties during the interview and the 15-minute demo presentation? :D Whatever the reason was, I am forever proud to be a product of ateneo and my heart remains to be one. But for now, I need to comply all the requirements like nbi, cedula, sss#, BIR, pag-ibig, etcetc needed by the HR so I could start very soon. Processing those requirements make me feel like im adult already. But somehow it’s better to have a secure future than having noting at all right? Crossing my fingers hoping I could finish ‘em all this week. Another reason why my sked would be very hectic this month is because I have to work for two big major events this year. My boss gave me her trust to organize a speed-dating event for September and an IT seminar for November. And I absolutely have no idea how am I going to make it ALONE.(really?!) But of course, my boss trusted my capabilities and she believes that I could make it. It’s actually a challenging responsibility but of course i’ll try my very best not to disappoint my boss. Anyway, having this kind of opportunity to work both of my favorite job gives me the responsibility to do better. Nevertheless, i'd rather be very busy and productive rather than be so dull without gaining any experience. till here. xo, joie de vivre :D
