Not exactly a highly desirable position of wealth and fame. Jesus most treasures hidden gestures that is concealed from the world's view. Why? Because then He knows that your heart is pure. He knows that you are truly serving your Lord, not yourself (to feel good) or others (for compliments and applause).  3. Your dream needs to be bigger than yourself Was Joseph ultimate goal the palace, power, status, wealth of a king? No, he didn't place his values in worldly treasures. Yes, it came with his ultimate goal to save Egypt from starvation and reconcile his nation. However it wasn't his primary goal. See when we put Jesus and others first in everything we do, all the good things we desire will eventually follow. Jesus is a very very generous God and when your heart is humble and pure, He will give you more than you can ever imagine! 4. If you can't be tested, you can't be trusted Every single influential character in the Bible was tested. Noah, Moses, Joseph, Job,...God wanted to make sure that you are ready and can be trusted to carry out His plans. We live in a world, where we desire instant fulfillment and gratification. We want it and we want it NOW. That's why we have Amazon Prime, Ubereats and many other instant delivery services. However, Jesus is never in a rush. He prepares the best for the patient. Why? Because it creates perseverance, character and maturity. James 1:4 Jesus wants to make sure that you are ready to fulfill His big plans. Do not compromise instant worldly fulfillment and acceptance for an everlasting one. Never give up, because Jesus does fulfill dreams, but He is testing your character first. I love the story of Joseph, as it beautifully paints the picture of faith, humbleness and perseverance. Joseph was sold as a slave by his brothers and was falsely imprisoned. Yet Jesus was with him every single second and Joseph didn't loose faith and continue to worship Jesus despite his unfavorable circumstances. Jesus gave Joseph favor, as he was put in charge of other prisoners. In Genesis 40, he correctly interpreted the dreams of two of Pharaoh’s servants and this lead to his opportunity to stand before Pharaoh and interpret the king’s dreams. No one else could interpret dreams like Joseph did and when asked where this talent came from, Joseph said: "It's Jesus who interpret dreams. He is just using me as a vessel." Joseph was promoted from prisoner to prime minister overnight! He served as second in command to Pharaoh and was the second most powerful person at that time. He later became the king of Egypt. So what do we learn from Joseph? 1. Put your confidence in God, not yourself Joseph could have easily claimed that he is solely responsible for his rare talent. Yet even though he is tested, he still said that Jesus was the ultimate source for his talent. 🍰Continued post🍰 True love is “I love you, in spite of you.” Meaning that whatever happens, whatever you have done, I still love you, because I am not loving your attributes but I love you as a person. That is how Jesus loves us. He already knows all the sins you are going to commit. He already knows how many gazillion times you will reject and disobey Him. Yet, He still chose to create, love, protect and bless you. Now that is true, unconditional and unchanging love. God cannot stop loving you, because His love is NOT based on you, but who He is and God is love. (1 John 4:8) So although you are unfaithful to God, He will be always faithful to you.  🐏I am EXTREMELY valuable To Jesus, you are priceless. Jesus sees you as precious and no one values you more than He does. (Isaiah 43:4) Value is determined by who owns it. For example, if Beyonce is selling her shoes that sure will be worth more than if I sold mine. So the question here is; Who do you belong to? Do you belong to your job? Your significant other? Your hobbies? There is nothing wrong with loving those things or people, but we shouldn’t place our identity in them. Now if we are children of Jesus, we are extremely important and valuable, because we belong to the King of Kings. Jesus will share all of His Glory and the Universe with His heirs. Now everyone is created and loved by God, BUT not everyone is a child of God. He lets you choose if you want to be welcomed into His family or not, because He loves you. Love never forces anyone to do, say or feel anything. Sometimes lies fly in our minds saying that “you are worthless!” Let me tell you, Jesus dies for each and one of you and He didn’t die for junk. The cross depicts it with His outstretched bleeding, nailed arms: “I love you this much. 🍨Why should we be generous? Part 3🍨 🍭Increase my joy🍭 There is more happiness in giving than receiving (Acts 20:35). Now it doesn't mean that you shouldn't be joyful when you receive, but there is something about helping others that creates happiness in you and the other person. And who wouldn't want true joy? 🍰Demonstrates my faith- 2 Corinthians 9:13🍰 Do you believe in God's promises? Then it's time to act on it. Step in faith and give, even when it doesn't make sense. See, when we see how Jesus turns an impossible situation into a possible one, it increases our faith. But that requires us to step out of our comfort zone and having faith that He will somehow make it happen. If you don't believe it, test it out. In fact Jesus challenged us to test Him in Malachi 3:10 "Test me in this and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." 💕Determines my blessings Stingy people usually miss out on God's great blessings. Why? Because God blesses a cheerful giver. Why should He give you more if you consume it all to yourself? The main reason He blesses you (besides that He loves you like crazy) is for you to share your favors. I personally can testify to this. The more I give, the more I receive. Although sometimes it is hard to give sacrificially, at the end God blesses you with tenfold more. Proverbs 22:9 ("The generous will be blessed."), Luke 6:38 ("Whatever measure you use in giving, will be used to measure what is given back to you.") and Deuteronomy 15:10 ("Give generously...God will bless you in all your work an in everything you put your hand into.") Do not be stingy if people are in need. We are privileged to be able to give and we should use that privilege to help others. 💕Creates a community Generosity develops your love for other people. Where you invest the most, you tend to have an attachment to something or someone. For example, when you sponsor a child, over time you will develop a relationship with him or her. You have built a bridge and created a community with that person. I encourage you to find a cause that you are passionate about and donate to that cause. Nothing will change if we all just talk. Change happens once we act on it. Are you passionate about helping children in 3rd world countries who are being sold into sex slavery so that their family can survive? 🐏Cure for entitlement🐏 Entitlement. My biggest pet peeve. Yet, we all have it. Some are worse than others. 😅 There are people with global entitlement, making the world revolving about them ALL THE TIME. And then there are people with pocket entitlement, who feel entitled at certain times. Entitlement not only affects you, but it affects your family, friends, businesses, churches and also the world. Think about it. If everyone thinks that they expect xxx handed over to them, nothing would get done and that would be a horrible world to live in. So what is entitlement? 🐈I am exempt from responsibilities Meaning, all your failures, mistakes and problems did not come from you (and some don’t, but certainly you have done some mistakes?). We blame others for our wrongdoings without realizing that we have hurt them. You know what you did wrong. Be mature and take responsibility for YOUR actions. Stop playing the victim card and let others clean up your mess. 🐯I am owed a special treatment What makes you think you are better than others? God created us all the same. Romans 12:3 says “Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought.” Pride = disrespect and is the poison for having love or even common sense.  🐝So how do we get rid of our entitlement? Life is hard, but God is good. God didn’t create us to have an easy life (that is waiting later for us in the eternal Heaven) and in fact Jesus had a very tough life. He was the King of Kings, so if anyone could have entitlement, it should be Him. But did He? No! He came to the earth to serve, NOT be served and gave His life as a ransom for many. 🌸Pray for the Holy Spirit to soften your heart A hard heart and head cannot receive God’s words and directions. It’s like a roadblock preventing you to reach your final destination. Have an open heart and mind to be molded and critiqued (to be better) by Jesus, only then can He transform you. 🌷Pull out the weeds (attitudes) Negative attitudes just suck the life out of you AND others around you. But most importantly it chokes the life of Christ. If you are dealing with unforgiveness, envy, pride and bitterness, your heart is blocked from receiving love and in fact the lack of love is why your prayers are hindered. Pride (James 4:3), doubt (Hebrews 11:6), disobedience (1 John 3:21-22), lack of reconciliation (Mark 11:25-26) and idolatry (Proverbs 1:21-28) are all reasons why your prayers are not answered. Erase all your negative attitudes and you are halfway there. 🌻Guard against guards (habits and behaviors) Bad habits and behaviors eat up the resources God has given you. For example poor relationships or poor choices will distract you from the path that God has planned for you. We tend to conform to whoever we hang out with. Proverbs 13:20 says “Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces.”  🌹Prepare for the harvest (Yay!😄) God sees your hard work, faith and perseverance. He will reward you according to them. Galatians 6:9 says: “At the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” So whatever dark times you are going through, change your perspective and see it through God’s eyes. Remember that He will turn the bad into good and that He will never leave or forsake you. Be open minded to be molded to the 2.0 that God created you to be. When you feel broken, He will bring healing. When we fear, He comforts us with His peace. When we are confused, He enriches us with His wisdom. When we despair, He showers us with His Hope. When we sorrow, He will with carry us under His joy. 📣Trust God in the process No harvest is instant. But if you sow, you will reap. That is 100% for sure. So trust His word that “He will never leave or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:8 And that “He is working everything for the good.” Romans 8:28 🔑If we have the seed of faith in the soil of adversity watched by the eye of the gardener (Jesus), we will have life and beauty in the right season. So what are some of the character growth Jesus wants us to experience? 🐝When we are in sorrow, He gives us joy. When we face adversity, we will develop patience. When we struggle, we will experience peace. When we are mistreated, we will become more kind. When we suffer, we develop compassion. I personally can relate to being mistreated. When I was little, I was bullied because I was the only Asian student in the German school. No one wanted to be friends or even talk with me. I was always the last one to be picked and the first to be picked on. It hurt. And now looking back, God wanted me to go through the pain so that I have more kindness and compassion towards others (especially outsiders). I know how much it hurts to feel left alone and hence I don’t want anyone to experience what I did. So I am trying my best to make others feel loved and welcomed. At that time, I didn’t see my problem with God’s eyes and hence I felt down and hopeless. But now, looking back I know that Jesus always has the greater plan and purpose behind every darkness. We just need to have a lot of faith and patience, because just like the moon flower..we cannot rush its blooming process. We can however, slow or hinder it. So how do we bloom effectively? 💐Feed on His word and stay connected If we keep watering and nurturing the moon flower, it will bloom.
