A book that changed your outlook on life?

Definitely the Harry Potter series. Those books taught me everything I know about the power and meaning of true friendship, about how the unconditional bond between friends can be as powerful as familial love, and is equal in magnitude to romantic love. I notice that this theme is also what draws me to HTTYD. It’s why I hate the phrase “we’re just friends”. Like, what exactly do people mean by that? Friendship is clearly one of the strongest bonds we can have in this plane of existence. Anyway, those books, and the adventures of the Golden Trio, were my friends when I had none and wished for real ones, when I was much younger. They also introduced the idea that love is the driving force of the universe and the source of real magic :). JK Rowling’s a truly gifted storyteller; her tales and characters are so memorable and realistic.

Do you think you’re much like your favourite character/s?

Yeah, I think I’m just an odd mix of characters I love from different stories that affected me and that I relate to. I think if I didn’t reflect those fictional personas  in some way, I wouldn’t cherish them nearly as much as I do!

You’re now a mermaid and get to choose the colour of your tail, what is it?

Purple and gold. Because I want to look regal af.

What is a moment in your life when you were a badass?

When I stand up for people who’re being bullied. I take zero crap from abusers and predators and those who hurt the innocent. There were (and continue to be) multiple moments like that.

If any book could have the perfect movie adaptation, which book do you want it to be?

There’s this book series I read a few years ago that I really enjoyed, called the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness. It occurs in a time before recorded history, where people live in clans characterized by specific creatures like wolves or ravens or roe deer, where people believe in and can see the spirits of nature and the earth itself. The main character’s a boy from the Wolf Clan who has a rare ability to talk to wolves (among other rare abilities he possesses), and has a wolf companion, kinda like Hiccup and Toothless. I’d really like it if it got to the big screen! I think the film rights have already been purchased, in fact.

Do you collect anything?

I suppose this blog is a collection of fandom fun times, cool photos, and amazing art! I’m quite proud of this collection, yep :). I also collect rocks and minerals.

One of you fave movies when you were a kid vs one of your fave movies now?

I like too many movies to choose, but my favorite medium is animation :). Although there are also too many live action movies I enjoy for me to pick here :P

Should brownies be dense or light?

They should be richly dense and chocolately! Brownies should never look or taste skimpy. The worst thing is a diet brownie, after all.

A song you can listen to over and over?

Movie soundtracks; they give the best eargasms.

What’s one of the best presents you’ve ever given?

My life as it is now by the universe. I hope to give back all the good I’ve gotten to the world.

What’s something you lost that ended up being in the strangest place ever?

Once I lost my sister on a safari in Kenya but she ended up being back at the game resort eating boiled eggs and avoiding the baboons lurking around. It was the best vacation ever. Y’all gotta go there once before you die; it’s amazing. Just keep an eye on your younger family members lmao
