the last time vincent had left the country had actually been unintentional. a drunken weekend in vegas at nineteen years old turned into a two am drive to mexico. and then a month later, he came back home to a *very* angry father. but this time, things were very different. he had traveled to meet his girlfriend’s family, and properly introduce himself to her father, whom he’d been scamming for the past several years.

for someone who hardly got a good nights sleep to begin with, this jet lag was a pain in the ass. when kaylee left in the morning for her run, he didn’t wake up immediately. what did wake him up though, was her absence. he’d reached out to grab onto her in his sleep, and found nothing beside him. after freshening up, kaylee finally rejoined him in the bathroom, where he was getting dressed… in black.
