The direct was titled "Partner Showcase" and Nintendo didn't mention their "publishing partners" so I'm amused that people are disappointed there was no news for AoI. Anyways, I've already accepted in my heart that Ganondorf won't be playable because the power of friendship had to be a core mechanic of the game and Ganondorf famously is not allowed to catch feelings for anyone. Unless they make a whole new mode for him. Or they remember that Koume and Kotake exist in the game.
EDIT: Or even his monsters! He seems pretty chill with them.
