We've just had a big burst of folks joining, so it seemed about time to make another hello post. So hello! Welcome to Expanding Hyrule, we're excited to have you! If you've found us, it's probably because of our Story Spotlights project, where we spotlight Original Legend works in our archive here on our blog.

The thing about this project: it's entirely community run! All of the positive reviews we share are collected for our whole community. Anyone can write them in. And so we need your help keeping this project going.

If you'd like to help us with submitting reviews for works we haven't yet been able to feature, check out the hub post for the project here on the blog or on our wiki.

But what if the work you want to leave a review for has already been spotlighted, you ask? You should still submit a review! All reviews get added to a work's page on our wiki for creators to see, but it also builds them towards Gold Star ⭐ status, which lets our community know a lot of people liked this work!

That's heartbreaking, tbh. Correct, but heartbreaking. And I've seen it in how I watch Mr. CBC interact with his friends, versus how I've seen many Black men interact with theirs. My husband is very physically affectionate with his bros, they hug and talk and say I love you, and they're good. That affectionate, that love, boys and men get taught that those are feminine attributes and things that women are supposed to do for them, which ends up making them feel bitter and resentful bc YEAH you DO need those things!! But you can get them from each other!! It doesn't have to be "gay" or "girly" to love your brother- and God knows they could use the love.

In my absence, Eman's village's situation has been getting worse, far far worse. As the fabric of Sudan's medical and other social infrastructures have been destroyed by war and genocide, displaced people are seeing a high risk of disease outbreaks amongst them. This is what Eman's village is currently going through, and her family has been one of many affected by dengue fever.

Oh my God, my mother has now lost consciousness.

Her health is deteriorating because she cannot get the treatment she desperately needs. We are living in catastrophic conditions due to the ongoing war and siege.

We are suffering from a severe shortage of food, medicine, and even the most basic necessities, I am powerless to save my mother on my own. I beg everyone who sees my plea to share it with their audience and help become a reason to save a life.

Sometimes I'm writing about Ganondorf and I'm just like "Mister Nintendo gave Ganondorf round ears in a pointed ear world and amber eyes in a green-eyed world and said a Gerudo man is born every 100 years but only Ganondorf was ever born and said Rauru sacrificed his life to seal Ganondorf but Calamity Ganon is manifest proof that seal does jackshit so if they can do whatever they want ignoring their own canon why can't I" and continue onwards.

i agree so much about making your blorbos pathetic but i do fear that many take this to mean 'make them more traditionally feminine/submissive' which genuinely hurts my soul. make your blorbos pathetic in interesting character-oriented ways. understand their neuroses and turn the dials up to eleven. juxtapose the parts of life they handle extremely well with the parts of their lives that make them eat shit. make them angry. make them cold. make them pave their own way to hell while building walls preventing them from seeing any other way. please i'm begging you no more pathetic as an euphemism for bottoming im gonna mclose it.
