Best day of my Junkrat main life
nothing will ever bother me quite like the fact that there’s no actual ladder or staircase for ppl to get up to marinette’s balcony
When we talk about how messy they will get. I'm just noticing a new turn. They are getting frustrated by Oliver now. Especially after that live yesterday.
Having watched fandoms move for years I bet you by the end of July or when we start seeing Ryan and and Oliver being themselves together and Oliver still ignores it they fully turn on him.
Which is so weird to me because usually, when I see this, at least the 2 actors/characters are mains and have been there most of the time. Now, we are going to have a group of LFG stans?? A character who may or may not come back.
And I'm starting to think maybe he isn't because he already had caused so much tension and drama in the fandom. His media training was poor AF and don't get me started on the cameos. Maybe Tim really was like bro has to go. He could Dr. Drake Ramoray him because he pulled a Joey!
Okay, first, the friends joke had me laughing hysterically, so thank you, second, what did Oliver do in the live yesterday to cause this? Because I've seen mentions but I didn't see what triggered it.
And yeah, they are flocking to Lou, which is weird, and if T doesn't come back or goes away quickly it's gonna get ugly for SURE. And it's so strange that they are turning on Oliver since, yk, Oliver is the main character? The dude we've been watching for years? The guy who plays the character they claim to love so much they need him to have T forever? Like, seriously, make them make sense. Like, I don't think an actor creating problems on the internet is grounds for them not coming back, Marisol lasted the whole season, tension in the fandom is one thing, but I feel like if this starts creating problems for Ryan and Oliver they might pull the plug, because, well, they are the ones that need to be comfortable on the role. I still maintain we shouldn't hold our breaths for him to get the Ali treatment, but it is a possibility, the relationship is in no way, shape, or form established enough that they can't just throw in a comment about T leaving and call it a day, and I, for one, would love to see that happen.
its not just that booktok now determines market trends its not just that YA is a balthazar of a genre that favors poorly written works over ones that are actually goods its not just that authors are expected to market their books more than the marketing departments in any of the fucking Big 4/5 houses are, its also that if and when i become an author, i probably wont even be able to talk about it wthout having other authors in this new generation of too-online-no-pr-team YA authors jumping down my throat. why am I seeing people say to never give a book one star, to never give a book less than five stars, to never say you didn't like a book, to never write a bad review of a book, or that if you really must do these things, to do them on an anonymous/throaway account that cannot be traced back to you. why am i seeing authors saying that there's no morals in their books or themes are for chumps or totally misunderstanding the function of conflict or metaphor. why are authors arguing with total strangers on tik tok. why are they screenshotting barely-censored tumblr posts and putting them on twitter to complain. there's a lot of problems in publishing and the utter lack of spines and class is a huge one.
im literally always thinking about naruto's "could you do it sasuke? could you kill me calmly?" and getou's "kill me if you want. there's meaning to that." LIKE??? CHIL L
