Sea Fairy: “Matcha told us to run and we should listen to her. She’ll catch up with us.”

I just found this blog and I love it already Can I get a quick gist on what's happening? Also, I want to give Peppermint a hug

(Hoboy, um... First, some background is needed for context.

Moon Rabbit is Matcha’s adoptive granddaughter on this blog. Kumiho once tried to eat her, which Matcha did NOT approve of, leading to Kumiho basically “joining” the family [read: Matcha’s been holding her prisoner for trying to eat her granddaughter]. So that’s what Kumiho was doing in Matcha’s household. Sea Fairy is Peppermint’s {once again, adoptive, I plan on elaborating more on their story in the future] mother, and she and Peppermint are living with Matcha because Sea Fairy has some questions/suspicions about Moon Rabbit she’s trying to solve. She is in a relationship with Moonlight, and the two are staying in touch while Sea Fairy’s away. Because of this, Peppermint and Moon Rabbit have come to see each other as siblings. Matcha also seems to have some background with Dark Enchantress she does not like to talk about. They all live in a house that’s a tea shop on the ground floor. Matcha’s actual house is on the second floor. She is also married to Avocado, and each has one biological child, Matcha’s being Herb, and Avocado’s being Kiwi.

Well, the current predicament all started with Matcha learning about Magic Anons. She thought it would be fun. And then the first one they got allowed Kumiho to basically do what she wanted for ten asks.

And then came the second M!A...

Matcha is [or rather WAS] literally the only thing keeping Kumiho in check. Unfortunately, the second M!!A has disabled her magic until she gets ten M!A’s.

This has had the unfortunate side effect of removing Kumiho’s ten-ask limit on no restrictions. and the sudden freedom has caused her to go into a frenzy. Although, given that Matcha’s fear seems to stem from something she’s not telling anyone, Kumiho’s current frenzied state MAY just not be entirely of her own free will...
