Maybe birthday buddy!!
Thanks! I'm thinking that 'maybe' was a typo? Unless we're contemplating the possibility of being birthday buddies? :'D 💖💖💖

For the book recs ask game, #28 and #134. Have a lovely day!
ahhhh thanks sweety!!!!! wow showered with asks I feel so lucky (✿◠‿◠)
28. a book you wish you could read as a beginner again
another boring answer: any book that doesn't profit me in multiple rereads is one that I don't really want to revisit anyway? some tv shows I wish I could see again with fresh eyes because the twist(s) are so mindblowing, but I guess I just don't feel about books that way? I would far rather go back through a book and see how it was constructed and how everything leads up to the twist or whatever rather than being naïve to it. I prefer being deeply familiar with a text rather than being new to it, if it's really good. that also makes it sound like I don't like reading new books if they're good but you get what I mean. a really good book deserves and rewards multiple rereads.
I guess I'd want to be new to some of the best agatha christies to go :OOOOO at the whodunit reveal because I pretty much remember how all of them go now and it would be cool to experience it again. but that's basically it lol
134. unreccomend any book you like!
I assume this means unrecommend any book I feel like, rather than any book I enjoy, right? lol okay well here's my review on Ottessa Moshfegh's Eileen:
Very little was done with the framing device. A stark, vivisecting character study, per usual, but one that quickly hits the bottom of the well on the titular Eileen (and what a waste of beautiful sentences!). If you’ve read other Moshfegh and are no longer taken with the delightful shock of wallowing in her work’s self-conscious disgust and perversity, feel free to skip. Boo.
🎧!
bedlam - me like bees
ok until this ask i have NEVER looked at the lyrics before and wow!!! a deceptive cheerful fun vibe for a song that seems PRETTY DARK ACTUALLY
lyrics: They're tearing down the city in a firefight / I will hide if the fire don't die
#2!! on your Spotify Wrapped list!

Hey! I just did your internet anxiety survey. I think some of the questions might have been a bit leading or the options available too limited. My opinion (definitely feel free to ignore it) is that it might be beneficial to organize it like a spectrum. For instance, question 2 a spectrum from humiliated to indifferent. And for question 8, you might want to reconsider the "texting on the phone bit" because I don't know that its necessary. I hope your project goes well!
Thank you so much for this! Constructive criticism is always helpful, and it’s been a while since I’ve had to put together a survey of any kind, so I was mostly going by memory for how to go about it.
Unfortunately, I can’t make any changes now, but I will definitely remember your advice for the future!
