My Miles: T.C.K
Hey Hey A topic which really hits close to home is T.C.K or in other words Third Culture Kids. We are a rare breed of Kids. Google defines us as: Third culture kid (TCK) or third culture individual (TCI) are terms used to refer to children raised in a culture other than their parents’ (or the culture of the country given on the child’s passport, where they are legally considered native) for a…

HẬU #ITS2016 / 3 Dec / #blackgoneblue
So, I've had comments over time on my videos where I have mentioned being Native American and people love to attack in the comments telling me, I'm not dark enough, my hair isn't the right texture, and most of the times it's thrown out that my eyes are "too light". There's a lot of ignorance when it comes to telling a stranger what their heritage or genetics are based on how they look (I could talk all day about the offensiveness of it) BUT, I will focus on the eye thing. So, I'm Native American and Irish. No shocker there. I usually tag my pics #browneyedgirl, but I actually have a form of heterochromia that is called sectoral or partial heterochromia. Basically it's when you have a section in one of your eyes that is a different color. I have a section of green in each eye that is more prominent in my right eye and as a result, in a lot of my pictures it will look like I have a slightly green eye and a more brown eye. It's just a genetic thing and doesn't make me "a fake native american" (yes, someone has actually said this and told me they were sick of "white people" trying to be more "exotic" by claiming to be native). So stupid. I happen to love both sides of my family and where I come from so, it is what it is. Your ignorance does not determine who I am. #themoreyouknow #heterochromia #browneyes #greeneyes #its2016 #growuppeople #notabigdeal
