Elemental | Kenzi & Percy
It was Kenzi’s first day in her own personal hell. Due to getting in trouble and attracting too much attention in the mortal world while at her numerous boarding schools the Gods of Olympus had decided that it would be best for her to come to Camp Half-Blood. This was a dangerous choice on their part but they thought it would be wise to attempt to straighten her out while they still could. Being the daughter of Hades people naturally feared her. She was a fierce teenager who never gave into anybody’s shit. She had a lot of her father’s tendencies and knew that she was more like him every day. Still, the gods saw just enough good deep down inside of her to believe it to be safe to transfer her to Camp Half-Blood. A Satyr and a teacher had picked her up just before she was about to get into a fight at her newest boarding school before taking her to Half-Blood Hill where she was surprisingly able to pass through with ease. As she entered the camp she observed the cabins in their U shape, the waterway not far from where they were twinkling in the distance, the strawberry fields, and finally the campers that dotted the grounds like little sparks in their obnoxiously orange camp shirts.
Chiron greeted Kenzi and held out her own shirt to her. She took it and with a smirk held it in her hands for just a moment before her eyes darkened and it turned into a bright flame before crumbling away. She looked at at the centaur before her.
“Do I look like I am a bright person? If so you really need to take another look.”
He sighed and directed her through the camp and showed her that she would be stationed in Cabin Eleven where the campers that didn’t yet know where they belonged stayed. She would be stationed there permanently simply because she didn’t belong anywhere else. Sighing she walked through the fields and down to the water, looking out into it. She saw faces and hands waving back at her from under it so she tossed a rock into the water. That was one thing she had never felt at ease with. Kenzi had never learned how to swim properly when she was young and she felt like water weakened her except the rain and showers and other daily water uses. She glared down at the water before turning and standing again, continuing towards the pavilion where campers seemed to be gathering. She was nearly there when she heard people whispering about her.
”Speak to my face if you are wise. I don’t take kindly to people talking behind my back.”
Due to the fact of how she was born from Hades she never had to worry about the creatures from beneath that had chased the other campers into staying at the camp. The demons and other kindly ones often protected her in times of trouble, sent by her father so she knew full well how to summon them if need be.
“Speak up whoever was talking about me or you will regret it.”
