Well, here I go (Sorry if my English is not very good) =)
1. Who from OH would you like to be best friends with?
Well, I think that Olivia de Havilland. She really looks like a great friend. For example, her friendship with Bette Davis lasted all their lives. (And we are talking about Bette...she had not many friends in Hollywood but Livvie was always there for her. They were truly great friends.)
And we have also the story of her friendship with Ida Lupino. They didn't got along in their youth while they were filming Devotion in 1943. But when Ida was very ill in the 80s and nobody was with her, the only person who took the time to visit her in the hospital was Livvie. (And she saved Ida's life...literally!)
2. Whose filmography have you seen the most of?
Olivia de Havilland...again =) Hahaah. I have seen exactly 40 of her movies. (and I feel very proud about that heheehe).
I also have seen 31 movies of Joan Fontaine... =)
3. Do you own anything OH related other than films?
I have some books. In my country (Argentina) it's really very difficult to find books about classic Hollywood so I have only 4. One about Hitchcock, one about Greta Garbo, one about Ginger Rogers and one about Chaplin.
4. What made you start watching classic films, and how long have you been watching them?
Well I can tell that all started with Mary Poppins. I watched that movie for the first time when I was 15 years old in 2006. Then I watched The sound of Music and for my 16th birthday I got the DVDs of both movies. Then one friend recommended me Gone with the wind and on 17/07/2007 I watched It for the first time. (Yes...I remember the exact day..heheh) I felt in love inmediately with that incredible movie and the actors and actresses....and well...now I'm 23 and I love Old Hollywood more than anything!
5. Has any specific OH film or person had a big impact or influence on your life?
Umm....I never really thought about this.... But I adore women like Ida Lupino, Olivia de Havilland, Bette Davis, Joan Fontaine...Women with great personality, that made their own decisions and knew exactly what they wanted in life.
6. Which classic film have you watched the most times?
I don't know. There are many movies that I love and that I have watched many times. I think that Gone with the wind, The Innocents, The snake pit and Letter from an unknown woman.
7. Have you made any big decisions in your life based on anything from OH? What was it?
I don't think so. When I finished High School I wanted to study something related to cinema, but now I'm studying to be a physician.
8. What time period in films (silent, 30’s, ‘39, wartime, etc) is your favourite?
9. Is there an OH actor or actress that makes you smile every single time you see them? Who are they?
I bet you know the answer...=) hehehehe
Olivia de Havilland, Joan Fontaine, Deborah Kerr, Ida Lupino, Irene Dunne, Bette Davis......
10. What are your three favourite things about the OH person you love most?
-That she really seems to care about people and, although I don't know her in person, to me she's the best person in the whole world!
- That she's a great actress, of course =) And I could go on..... =)
11. If you could live inside any classic film, which one would it be?
OMG!!! Great question!! =) Let me think.....umm.... can I choose more than one?? hehehe
- “Letter from an unknown woman”. I love that movie (my favourite of Joan) but If I could be in the story, I would love to tell Joan's character: don't be silly, wake up, marry some nice guy and forget that man!!!
- "The Strawberry Blonde". I love Olivia’s character!! Such a lovely woman! So sweet!! I would love to be in that movie and be her best friend!! (I would be a much better friend than Rita’s character…That's for sure.)
-"You Can't Take It with You". Can you imagine to be part of a family like the family of Jean Arthur’s character??? =) Awesome! =)
-What is your favourite couple in old Hollywood?
- Ginger Rogers & Fred Astaire or Olivia de Havilland & Errol Flynn?
- Gone with the wind or Casablanca?
- If you could be a character in a classic film, which one would it be?
- Favourite Hitchcock movie?
- Favourite leading man from old Hollywood?
- Most underrated actress?
- If you could change something in the life of your favourite actress, what would It be?
