Hi! I'm trying to close a simple circle with the line art pen tool!

For some reason the Combine Strokes function isn't working?

I have tried both selecting the function from the edit tool menu as well as the short cut for the function. (which is SHIFT+CTRL+DRAG BETWEEN POINTS)

I'm lost on why it isn't working?

It's very important that I'm able to close the various shapes in these line art layers because I've been commissioned for a relatively expensive line-less full body 2 character commission by a family member.

I will have lots of shapes that need to be closed and I would super appreciate some help.

I'm going to attach a gif of what I'm doing just for clarification in case anyone here is able to help. Thanks!
