@its-remuslupin | mary's cottage
It should have been something she noticed long before the knocking on the door, long before the other had stumbled into her little cottage but recent weeks had turned life into a chaotic mess. Strings of guilt settled themselves among the worries and concern Mary had begun to wade through the very moment she'd pulled Remus inside as carefully as she could, her mouth open in shock before that healer training kicked in.
"Spare room, I'll be there in a moment." Mechanical, almost. If not for the warmth in her eyes, the careful touch of her hands as she motioned for him to find a space to rest, perhaps she'd have come across as any other healer, working through yet another case. But this wasn't another case. This was one of the most important people in her life. "Here, drink this." A potion to numb at least the worst of whatever he may be feeling, enough to assess, but enough to let him breathe a little easier. "Tell me everything?" Everything that he considered in need of care.
