Not able to focus on the book in front of her, Kayla sighed deeply. She had a pretty important exam coming up and she just couldn’t seem to get herself to sit down and actually study. Giving up for the day she gathered the small stack of books she had accumulated, she’d come to the library hoping the lack of distractions would keep her on track but instead she had just managed to find her own distractions. Standing from her seat she made her way to the collection box placed at the end of one of the many aisles of books, her mind once again wandering she crashed into a stranger, the books she had in her arms falling loudly to the floor. Cringing as the sounds reverberated off of the walls and everyone turned to stare at the source of the noise. “Shit.” she mumbled, drooping to the floor to start to collect the books. “I’m so sorry.” she sighed looking up at the stranger.
