Silence of the Grahams-Lecters
I finally watched this show around a year ago so this is my first @hannibalcreative event. This was a good time to become a fan, what with Netflix and new fan content (and I only had to suffer 1 year so far versus everyone's 5 years 😭)
#ItsStillBeautiful 2020 is officially open!
Reminders:
1. Your contribution MUST be a brand-new work.
2. Please TAG your submissions with #ItsStillBeautiful
3. Here’s the LINK to the AO3 collection.
Go create wonderful things!

Well, Fannibals… we’ve made it!
Nearly FIVE long years have come and gone since our favorite cannibal duo tumbled off the cliff together in Wrath of The Lamb, leaving us broken-hearted and desperately starving for another chapter of Bryan’s murderous fairytale. From July 19th-26th, The Creative will host #ItsStillBeautiful, our annual festival for stories that occur after Season 3 (post WOTL). We’ve seen that Netflix has given Hannibal a well-deserved boost in popularity lately, so our fandom is more active than ever. (Yay!) We invite any and all new Fannibals to participate in #ItsStillBeautiful, whether you’re reading or creating – Welcome!
To enter a contribution to this festival, submit your work anytime between July 19th and July 26th. We accept new works of fanfic, fanart, gifsets, cosplay, playlists, and even songs. Let your imagination run wild. Write about a character, a pairing, a scene; as long as it takes place after WOTL then it will fit the theme of the festival.
Your contribution MUST be a brand-new work.
Please TAG your submissions with #ItsStillBeautiful on Twitter, Tumblr, AO3, or Pillowfort when you post your contribution. Since tags can be as fickle as Hannibal’s appetite, please let us know by DM if you don’t see your work included in our reblogging efforts. You can mention the Hannibal Cre-ate-ive account on Twitter or Tumblr in your contribution post as well. We will send out the link to the AO3 Collection before the event begins, but please DO NOT add your work before July 19th if you want it to be included in the festival.
Thank you to @pangaeastarseed for the banner artwork, which we think is just perfection! Follow them and give them all the love!
Hannibal eyed the sandals on Will’s feet like he’d done every single time Will put them on.
“I can get you a new pair.”
Will smiled and squeezed Hannibal’s hand. “I like these.”
“You’ve had them for over five years.”
He wiggled his toes. “That’s how long it took to break them in.”
Hannibal sighed. “There are much better shoes you can wear.”
Will laid his head on Hannibal’s shoulder and sighed. “Have you ever worn sandals?”
“No. I don’t care for them.”
“Yet you bought me these.”
“I bought them for you in a gas station five years ago when we were on the run from the police.”
Will kissed his cheek. “Do you remember what else happened that night?”

During the Corona pandemic, Hannibal and Will go to Indonesia with a contingent of Cuban doctors, and drink kopi luwak. That’s it; that’s the fic.

Hannibal and Will evade capture via Will’s seamanship skills and Hannibal’s medical expertise (and probably Swiss bank account), living on a small houseboat with several stray dogs. They assume new identities regularly to rejoin society for dinner parties.
After the fateful battle with the Great Red Dragon, Hannibal and Will retired to live an "almost" normal life. Almost is the right word. Ok, it's not a normal life at all, but al least they're not trying to kill each other anymore.
As Hugh Dancy (the actor that plays the role of Will Graham) said:
"But you know what? I guess, actually thinking about it, it’s hard to believe that Hannibal would really die. Because he’s not exactly mortal. And I personally think that if Hannibal’s going to survive, he would save Will. So I don’t know. Let’s just say they’re on a beach somewhere. [...] Yeah, just chilling on a beach. Drinking something out of a coconut. Or a skull."
