"If you've ever gotten hurt playing sports then you should know no longer being in pain doesn't mean you're fully recovered from your injury. Some players tried to come back too soon, which set them back further, because their body healed but their mind didn't. If the mind isn't ready then a player is no good in this game we call life. Before a player is even allowed to rejoin the team, he or she is required to go through a period of isolation. The team doctor orders physical therapy then for the player to play alone so they can work their way back up to "being themselves" and comfortably step back on the court with the same people who hurt them. I'm here to tell you some of you are well enough to "leave the hospital" but are refusing the doctors orders to stay home for a while, rest and take a break from that person or people who broke you. Don't go back so soon. Not while you're still having flashbacks of the pain they caused. Not until you're able to play (or be) like your normal self without worrying about getting hurt again. Those thoughts will manifest and could cause recurring injuries. Which is why some players never come back the same. God needs you at your very best. Take all the alone time necessary to heal. There might be a few who don't want you to succeed but there are so many people who need you and can't wait to see how talented you are." 👼🏽 https://www.byjohnnie.com - Diary of a Good Black Man #NoteToSelf #MessageToYou #ThoseWithAnEar #LetThemHear #ItsTimeToHeal #iWrite ✍🏽 https://www.instagram.com/p/CAYJfzMh664dTx38EdtsbCVPl_KAfhfPFSqp-A0/?igshid=1oddyxoz0yxsk
