A few months back, I was speaking to my mom about the anxiety I was experiencing, my challenges focusing, inability to find a job, and really just doting on myself, at the edge of a mental spiral ready to swan dive up in that thang. She had just attended a mediation training and shared a novel concept with me. She asked me what I had been doing for other people lately? She questioned if I had only been thinking about myself these past few weeks or if my thoughts had ventured outward. Now, at the time, I was pissed.
