Happy Mondays : Information Technology (1988)
This short film (shot in October 1988) follows acid-house rockers 'Happy Mondays' as they embark on their second album 'Bummed'. Factory Records boss Anthony Wilson and band manager Nathan McGough take us through the business process of producing an album. From deciding on a recording budget, hiring a producer (Martin Hannett) to creating the sleeve artwork (Central Design) and arranging the promotion for the release. The show was made for ITV Schools, an educational television service aimed at under eighteens and broadcast on channel 4. There were 6 x episodes about the workplace, this episode covering the music business.
