Genuinely tho why does anyone root for shuro in Dungeon Meshi? Like forget whatever happened between him and Liaos I get that's cultural bullshit, whatever. I'm talking about itzumi. The girl his family owns as a slave. Who he dragged into a dangerous dungeon and then left to die. Who he put a magic bomb collar on. I have seen some people argue that last thing is Mahiru, but I don't buy it. Mahiru is Shuro's vassal. He's still responsible for her actions, because she does whatever he tells her to do, that's how feudal relationships work. He could have told her to remove the cursed tattoo from Itzumi at any time and she'd have done it. That it was still on means he's either the guy who told Mahiru to put it there to compel Itzumi's obedience, or that he was fine with whatever Mahiru did to get Itzumi to behave. Fuck Shuro.
