❦ Eraqus blinks, looking up at Xehanort who was staring out the window. A concern look flickered across their face as they carefully reached over to cover one of the other apprentice’s hands that sat on their ankle. He curled his fingers around Xehanort’s as he offered the other a small smile when they looked at him, squeezing their hand gently.

“Well... If it helps any, I’ll be there to help block out any noise if you need me. After all we will always be together won’t we?”

❦ The young man had been in the middle of reading a very interesting mystery novel when Xehanort came over and decided that, that was no longer going to be an option. A soft sigh left him, but he wasn’t upset with the other. Carefully bookmarking his page, he set his book aside before setting a hand in the other’s silky silver locks.

“Oh? Is that so? And what makes you so sure I can help with curing your boredom, hm~?”

      the  ends  justify  the  means.  the  message  has  been  sent,  and  he  will  not  --  he  refuses  to  feel  even  a  second  of  remorse.  it  serves  no  purpose,  but  to  hold  him  back.

he hasn’t been to destiny islands since what he deemed his escape, but it hasn’t changed since his childhood. not that he truly expected it to. ‘tell me. is this place a prison to you as it was to me ??’

Sora thought about it for a moment, gazing out at the ocean’s calming presence.

“I don’t think I would go so far as to call it a prison.” Destiny Islands was small and every day was pretty well the same but, that’s where some of it’s charm came in. “If it wasn’t for Riku and Kairi I don’t think I would have even thought of leaving. Riku was really the one to put the thought in my head. We always found to make our own adventures here as kids... Even with how small it is, there’s something about it that always draws me back home.”
