Hey so guys I don’t think Bon Bon Jellyfish Planet is Sua's second sub song at all, I think it’s Mizi’s second. Thematically speaking at least. Bear with me here.

“lonely jellyfish, softly floating high

looking up at the sea of stars in the sky

with a tiny, glassy heart, seeking love so warm”

That’s pretty clearly about Mizi - she never had many friends, and pretty much all of them are dead. She was obviously closest with Sua who died first. Ivan was (or at least could have been? the canonicity of that one drawing on Vivinos’ insta is dubious but it def came from somewhere) and now he’s dead.

Mizi didn’t know Hyuna for very long but they were still friends, and she’s dead too. Till is the only one of her friends who survived, and she doesn’t even know that for sure; it’s been 7 years since Mizi last saw him, and he had just been shot in the neck. It would be reasonable to assume he died.

But that on its own doesn’t necessarily make this Mizi’s song; if it’s a Sua song it’s obviously gonna mention Mizi a lot. The line that really caught my eye is one of the ones near the end:

“far ahead, I see the jelly star, familiar faces wait for me

purple, green, and scarlet jellyfish

finally, we’re free”

Green and red are Till and Ivan, those colour associations are nothing new. But we’ve never seen Mizi associated with purple, at least as far as I know - that’s absolutely Sua’s colour. Literally, her eyes are purple. If it’s anyone else’s colour it’s Luka’s, but that’s only in merch, and both Mizi and Sua would never sing about him.

So either Sua is singing about herself, Till, and Ivan, and excluding Mizi for some reason, or this song is coming from Mizi’s perspective but Sua’s voice.

And where have we seen that before?

What if Bon Bon Jellyfish Planet is a continuation of Mizi’s guilt manifesting itself as a hallucination of Sua?

That’s also not the only line in the song that supports this read:

“starlight bubbles wave and call my name ...

... sparkling lights are waiting there for me”

It’s Till, Ivan, and Sua who are wearing the stars here - not Mizi. Sua tells us this directly right at the beginning - she’s the lonely jellyfish looking up at the stars.

If this song is a manifestation of Mizi’s guilt, that gives this song a way more sinister vibe.

if I follow, through the Milky Way

sparkling lights are waiting there for me

friends who shine where I should be”

Mizi’s friends, who are (presumably) dead, are waiting for her and shining from where she “should be”.

“searching for my friends, bubbling away

I don’t want to be alone, I’ll fly away”

We’ve seen in Witch and her birthday art how she deals with her trauma by indulging in memories and fantasies of when her friends were still alive, because regardless of how horrible Anakt Garden was they were still together.

In conclusion… Oh my god the Alien Stage song was deceptively sad and referenced survivor’s guilt, hallucinations, and codependency??? Who could’ve guessed?????
