How is the pope currently? Does The Pope not exist because it has not been declared? Or is the pope out there and is yet to be declared? Schrödinger’s pope? Metaphysics? Is it simply a title or is it destined and must simply be brought to light?

It's definitely Schrödinger's pope. Sure the box involved is the Sistine Chapel but I don't see how that changes anything

I would argue it is simple a title, but the cardinals are meant to vote for the will of God so you can see how that gives a different view to it being destined to be if you're religious
