finally caught up on csm and these pages really stood out to me, because they almost frame yoru as a hero? like, this scene reads like a standard 'power of friendship' moment in a shonen manga. yoru comes across as the sympathetic one in this situation, which is pretty clearly a statement on how attractive and tempting war can be.

but this also got me thinking about that kind of trope in other series and how pro-war they usually are. the good guys fight the bad guys and the good guys win, but they're still fighting, aren't they?
