bruce springsteen obviously

damn, i’d already answered an ask about bruce. but i can share some other random things about him!

i remember that around the same time i first heard ‘im on fire’ my high school friend was talking all the time about bruce’s ass on the born in the usa album cover which was absolutely random but somehow fueled my need to listen to him asdfasdfsdf

also i’ve noticed that middle aged men who aren’t into springsteen say that the only song of his they like is ‘streets of philadelphia’. my dad and high school english teacher both told me that they only like that song when i mentioned that i listen to springsteen. if anybody knows a middle aged man who likes streets of philadelphia only then let me now, i’m keeping a tally

Hm, probably Little Creatures by Talking Heads - just Road to Nowhere alone makes it one of the best albums of 1985. On the other hand, Tears for Fear’s Songs From the Big Chair has Shout, Everybody Wants to Rule the World and Head Over Heals, so ... These two albums I think. (And on a more dad-rock side, Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits is worth mentioning.)
