#stancyweek: Day 1 -Favourite Episode
my choice for this season:
The Nina Project (4x05)
This was SO HARD to pick but I tried to decide based of the one I've watched the most. The reason I love this episode is of course the Scooby Doo style, mystery gang vibes. I wish we'd seen more of them exploring the house cos its was so cute and funny. But obviously the most important part of the episode is the wholesome Stancy content! Its the first scene they have kinda alone in season 4 (except for robin). Its just so sweet and endearing. The way Nancy looks at Steve 😍 with those heart eyes and her smile. And the way he's a lil nervous around her. Him trying to be all clever and deep with the Sherlock Holmes quote! They get lost in each others eyes and you can tell they definitely wanted to kiss 😭
The fact that he asks to hang out with her (robin & Jonathan too but we all know he really wants to see). "Once we save the world and stuff" he's so sweet and such a hopeless romantic and this demonstrates it perfectly. Nancy picking the cobwebs out of his hair 😩 Its a great example of how they take care of each other, even through the simplest tasks.
I love that we get to see Nancy's reactions, as she knows Steve isn't looking at her at first. It's how she truly feels. It's so mushy and cute! I've said this before but she smiles so much more when she's around Steve. All of season especially is her just grinning at things Steve says. It's so nice to see her happy.
I've re watched that scene so many times. It's such a beautifully delicate scene; the tension, playfulness and longing is just *chefs kiss*
There are other stancy scenes throughout season 4 that are my favourite but I enjoyed this episode, as a whole, more than some of the others.
I could write a post about every stancy season tbf but it'll end up being a book.... An idea 🤔💕
