Adventure time’s Prismo
When i was talking to tutor about my ideas, she talked about the shadows morphing and changing shape. For the past few days, i’ve had an image of how the shadows would overlap/morph to the shape of the room. Then it suddenly hit me that there is a character that alines with my ideas for shadow movement etc, and it was Prismo from Adventure time. I don’t know why it took me so long to figure out that Prismo was shadow like.
What is Prismo?
Prismo is a wish maker (Genie), Who lives in the time room that is connected to the multiverse.
Basically Prismo is a genie like character that doesn’t have a physical form, he’s like a shadow as he bends around according to the shape of objects that he’s projected on. He is an intelligent wise being that has helped the shows protagonists Finn the human and Jake the dog countless times.
What i want to do is, create a character that is lively and has a sense of self, like Prismo - he isn’t physical and simple looking but there’s still a lot to his character. I want to do this with my characters, create them to be interesting, curious and lively beings - despite not being expressive and very simply drawn.
Looking and studying Prismo might be helpful for this project, and if it isn’t he’s still a source of inspiration towards my project.
