hahahaha oh god, I knew it was gonna be mostly from that playlist but I'm pretty sure 8 or maybe even 9 out of these 10 songs are actually from the Dear Your Holiness playlist by @mollymarymarie because I re-read that fic last week and not only is the fic excellent, the vibes of the playlist are also just so, so good.

Hmm okay

1. Performing

I love the stage and I love everything about being on it. I love the nerves, the anticipation, and the joy that you feel when you’ve done something amazing. I love the smell of hairspray, being blinded by the lights, drinking so much water and sweating it all off, rehearsing the piece (even more so when it’s with other people)- I love the whole experience.

2. Melting moments

I don’t what they’re universally referred to (I’ve heard yoyo’s or something??), but those gorgeous buttery vanilla sweet biscuits are honestly my savior in trying times. I really enjoy making a huge batch while listening to a new playlist.

3. Success

I don’t mean empty successes, I mean the successes that come from hard work and honesty. The ones where you’ve given your all and achieved the result you were desperately working and wishing for. When I get an A* on an essay that I tried really hard on is so much more valuable than the same mark on one I chucked together the night before it was due.

4. Good conversations

Truly, conversations where you’re with one other person or a small group and have a thorough, intelligent, interesting discussion are amazing. When each member is open minded and honest, values their own opinion but will listen to yours, is empathetic and forgiving, and is willing to connect deeply- those times (usually unplanned and late at night) are fantastic.

5. Songwriting

I am an embarrassingly awful poet and phenomenally untalented musician (I cringe hearing my uke playing), but expressing my thoughts and feelings through a medium I adore really makes me really happy (or at least content in my feelings). I love poetry, and I love music, and I love making my own.

I’ve tried to come up with interesting and diverse answers not just like ‘Music! My friends! Sex! Chocolate! My mum!’ that tend to get spewed out (don’t get me wrong they’re great too, I just wanted to give some intense thought to this question).
