Managed to get through today - until this moment without crying (again). Right now I am bawling. I am in awe of the way people are coming together to stand with friends, family and strangers; offering support, understanding, even offers of places to stay. Even so I am destroyed that we have to come together because of what happened. I can't do a lot, but I will do what I can. If you are afraid, you can tell me and I will help you get to a doctor, get you home from a bar or a party. If you're afraid to be at home - my place is tiny but I can offer a couch for a few nights of safety and I'll help you find somewhere safe to stay. If you just need to talk, you can talk to me. I am scared and hurting too, but we can't abandon each other. Right now we're all we've got.
