I know yesterday was September first, and for many that's Harry Potter day. But for me it wasn't such a fantastic day, one of my good friends died yesterday. She died of injuries sustained from a car crash the day before. 

Today I want to talk a little bit about mortality. We ALL mortal. What makes us mortal is that we all will hit the end of the road. We will all die.  That life isn't forever. No one stays. But if you do it right, like my friend did, you will live on in spirit. She loved life. She loved everyone. SHE LOVED. I know it is not always possible to smile. Or to give someone your best; because you might not be at your best, you might be down deep and need a hand. But when you can, GIVE. Give a hand, or a smile; a word of love. This girl gave everything she and to everyone she saw and it made her all to short life so valuable. I am sad, because I thought I had lost her love. But even though she is not here to be with me and to be that mothering spirit, or helpful friend. She taught me to help others. And now with each compliment I give, with each person I hug, and with each smile I make... It's with her. It is her love that she shared with me that I offer to you. 

So please love, please smile, please give. And find time for your friend now! Because you might not be able to later.
