Gerard Byrne: A state of neutral pleasure, a delightful tour by Iwona Blazwick, Whitechapel Art Gallery

Really enjoyed Byrne's exhibition at Whitechapel, enriched by Iwona Blazwick's knowledgeable and entertaining tour of the buildings and shows.

Byrne's reenactments are intelligent, fascinating and slickly executed in particular his New Sexual Lifestyles of a round table discussion taking its cue from a Playboy article written in the post sexual revolution (1972). This time round, its an Irish setting and the scene is played out on three monitors with layered questions and answers from the original material.

Audio available, as not to miss anything! Got Byrne's accompanying exhibition book too.
