many people peg him to be very dark and emo in this tastes (i did too) but now, i see him more as an "old soul" type. he enjoys classical music and old literature, hence the reference to diablo, and likes warm, less sweet food like figs and tea. he's into the more creative things in life such as the fine arts and infrastructure, maybe even music and such. he may be young but people who know him calls him am "old man", but he likes simpler things rather than being extravagant and outgoing.
as a result, i see him more as an architecture student or a literature student. two very different but very close to what akutagawa might like to pursue. he might enjoy architecture, since he likes calligraphy and well-done sketches and art, but he also enjoys reading literature that dates back to different periods in time to truly understand how life was in the past. he may also pursue history or fine arts, but i'll narrow it down to architecture or literature. for this fic, he'll be a english literature student !! he's more of the punctual, "i'll get it done on the day it was assigned" type of student. he doesn't procrastinate often and actually manages his time pretty well, because he looks out for his health. although this may seem like a healthy routine, he forces himself to cram as much work as he can in the time frame of 6:00 am to 11:00 pm, so he crashes on the dot and wakes up on the dot, leaving no time for leisure and maybe even basic necessities like eating or showering. either way, he gets his work done and he rarely gets asked by his professors to redo his work or submit on time because he does his work early and with the highest quality
he's a scholar, but he's not necessarily the professor's favorite because he hates doing extracurricular activities. everyone is literally begging him to join debate clubs, literature clubs, journalism, but he just doesn't see the need to do it if it doesn't affect his overall grade. unless absolutely necessary, he never participates in non-academic programs and events.
easily annoyed, so he might beef with some freshmen that get on his nerves LMAO. probably not much but his grudge and spite will never go away even if you so simply as be near him when he's in a mood. he's not exactly the most approachable sophomore, but some people are tough enough to go up to him, but alas he won't entertain you that much.
