Okay but Daniel and Louis said they were going to 'brawl it out in the alley' before Lestat described their meeting in the restaurant so, I ask you, which is more likely:

A) They were indulging in their usual witty repartee to orchestrate a meet-up and used a metaphor that captured the current, tense state of their relationship

OR B) They met up in the alley and Louis told Daniel off and grabbed him by the collar of his leather jacket and looked down at him with that haughty little smirk again and Daniel looked up at Louis with those puppy dog eyes begging for approval and said he was sorry in the same breathless tone in which he asked Louis if he liked the book, and then time ground to a halt as they gazed into each other's eyes, breathing in sync as their lips touched and they made out messily, Louis' stylish jacket getting grimy as he backed up against the alley wall --thus explaining his lack of jacket in the restaurant scene-- and Lestat was just too emotionally devastated to mention this in his version of events? ("Was it the restaurant, Lestat?")
