Interested in adminning the verse?
It's great that there has been so much interest, guys!
However, you all need to think about a few things.
I don't play in the verse. This is significant. Because it means I can be the bad guy when needed. I can talk to people about godmodding, or ask them to tone certain things down, or make the point that they haven't been around this week - or in some cases tell them their role will be reopened. But because I'm not here every day it gives me some distance.
It also means I can say 'no' without cause any discomfort, or less, anyway. When someone asks for a whole month of hiatus, someone needs to be able to say no, and know that the person who asked is going to be upset about it, and be okay with that.
There are occasionally interpersonal issue between players, too, and it's hard to mediate that fairly while RPing with the people involved.
No single person can do this job. There are too many hours involved. Sar and I bounce things off each other all the time, and often think it would have been easier with three (though our third admin had baby-gestating to do, and couldn't stay long, she contributed in a lot of important ways in the beginning).
Adminning is hard work. Seriously, the prompts alone. Sometimes they take hours. We pore through people's paras looking for stuff to base things off, have to consider who is around and who is quiet who is likely to be important to any prompt. Character changes can muck up story arcs and you have to roll with it.
We would love to see this game continue but you really do have to think hard about the work involved, division of labor, and I suggest strongly that whoever takes it one finds a PBK of their own - a non-player who can be the asshole when needs be.
I'm betting on you guys. I'm sure a compromise/team can be found!
