Zim likes to explore Dib’s alien nature though Zim hasn’t cared about it initially. He used Dib’s “genius alien mind” to create a weapon to take over the planet in the first place, but then he started to notice other little alien things Dib is used to do.

Dib is interested in Earth countries culture even though he knows that his mission is to prepare the planet to be taken over by the Irken Empire.

Zim, knowing Dib’s interest in Earth culture and starting to treat him more gentle, lets Dib watch some movies and TV-series and read some comics and books with him, even though Dib seems feeling really uncomfortable because of his confusion: his mission is to prepare Earth to be taken over, but he starts loving this planet.  

Dib has panic attacks. Also he has a deep feeling of anxiety and his mind goes insane sometimes, glitching because of his opposed and contradictory feelings he starts having during his pastime on Earth. Zim, letting Dib stay at his place time to time, uses his own genius human mind to fix Dib’s state when Dib begins trusting him. Dib even learns how to “sleep”. And thanks to Zim, Dib doesn’t tremble so often anymore.

Zim becomes a precious human person to Dib and the reason he decides to fight for Earth instead of preparing it to be conquered.

So about this RDoL. Is Zim aware that Dib is irken? Or just one day he finds out somehow?

Initially Zim didn’t care if “the new one" was an alien in the first place. But later there was a scene where Dib was lost in the school building (it was huge for him and he had some sort of a panic attack because he didn’t have stable psyche, that’s what we can call “being defective prototype” in his case), Dib stumbled over a bucket of water which was left by a school janitor, so Dib fell in the appearing puddle of water on the floor and his disguise programm in the PAK got a crash of the process, so the disguise mode turned off and he looked like an alien again. And that was the moment when Zim was walking around the corner humming some melody, and then he stopped and saw that perfect picture of a wet fuming green alien.

That’s how Zim found out Dib was an alien and that’s how Dib started being paranoid even more than before

OK, 2019 started with the sketches refered to my swap story (actually my friends help me with that). I named it “Reversed Danger of Invasion” and I almost came up with the plot, it still has its plot holes. I’ll tell more if you’re interested.

So! It’s the first concept-sketch refered to one scene in “Reversed Danger of Invasion”.  It’s the birth of irken-Dib. Based on the fact Dib is a clone (or creation of Professor Membrane's) in canon, in this story Dib was made as an experiment by scientist-irken Membrain (yeah, I changed his name a little bit in RDoI). The same goes for Gaz. The details will be in the comic I hope I’ll draw. (Ask me about RDoI!)
