I took these pics during my last KR exhibition visit. It was from the promo clips outside the exhibition area so technically it's not included in the things they don't allow you to take pics from the place (they dun allow taking pics of the drawings... as well as the character profiles there - understandable since there are some cast signatures there)
Honestly, I find it cool that Nene was involved in the promotion of the exhibition (which might explain why she signed twice on her Hakubi profile, like you can see a hint of it on the first pic)
That said, the photo booth (the free ones at least) was kinda nice, like if you position yourself nicely, you might get a nice photo... Like Nene's here.
I didn't take photo from the Rider 1 booth, but I did for the Blade one XD
Gonna just put these here... like tbh, I still dunno when did people managed to take snapshots of me at the ticketing booths while we’re busy at work. XD Also cos I always tend to not get to take my own cosplay pics during CF. XD
Caps taken from felyne snapshot credits video by edo: CF2016, 2017
Top: me in (kinda failed) Sengoku Ryoma cosplay, CF 2016
Bottom: me in Takasugi Shinsuke cosplay, CF 2017
(well, in my defence (for the failed Ryoma) I needed to clip my bangs behind my ears since it’s hard to see and count money with the bangs out. XD)
Something I always want to keep reminding people. Esp the toku cosplayers. You don't always have to buy actual merchs before you can 'be allowed' to cosplay certain superhero characters. There used to be this ancient history long ago where people DO make cardboard henshin belts, denpass, other henshin devices from scratch for cosplay. No big deal. I used to get along with an LJ-er who used to create her diendriver from scratch. That aside, I do buy some merchs these few years solely cos I procrastinate on props so much and also for the fact I do want to get the toys for personal reasons BESIDES cosplay.
Likewise, just because you have the toys... posing with the toys and wearing some mashups of costumes unrelated does not constitute as cosplay. Tho yes... you can selfie with your toys at your own leisure la. Just don't try too hard and say you cosplay while doing that because NOPE. I don't want to be elitists on cosplay but I do have my aesthetics.
Tl;dr, to me personally... it's kinda an insult whenever people scoff at homemade props people make for cosplay (esp for toku merchs and real life stuff) and saying that you can just BUY them. I dunno bout others, but to me... especially with regards to my props whenever I made/buy them for cosplay, I really did treat them with care. Like how I made my Blackbird... by the time I'm finished with the prop and using it, my attachment to that prop was similar to how attached Tsukasa was with his pink camera. There was a sense of 'history' in it; like even if the prop can't actually be used to take pics, when I sold that prop off to another cosplayer... I really found it hard to let go of it because I did pour all my Tsukasa feels into making that prop like how that 'camera' was a way for Tsukasa to capture the memories of all the people, worlds that he passed through. Yeah, I had that certain habit regarding my props. I tend to treat them as my characters would in series.
And I'm getting longwinded again. XD. I get creepily passionate about my closet cosplays ~
My voice was used for Nina's since Kids can't do porn sounds while Kids voiced Villetta. And lol that fall, kinda weird watching this from another angle www I missed doing that bullet time action now hahahaha
But dang, if I wanna redo Villetta again I need to get a new pair of boots www
